Looking for information

I have been thinking about going into the hosting business of my own. I asked a friend of a list of things I would need, or at least what he thought I would need.

We did a lot of talking about billing software, reseller acounts, dedicated servers, and help systems.

One of the help systems brought me here to your forum.

He mentioned intello desk.

I searched for the name of the desk, and it brought me here. Another result took me to what appears to be the actual website.

I'm having a problem however, finding any information about this software. There doesn't seem to be any information on the site itself, and the site said that it was property of avid media or something. I went there (I think I went to the right place), but that was a hosting business. I haven't had this much trouble finding information about anything else he suggested, except this.

I'm about out of my mind looking for information on it, and I'm about to give up on it.

The most information I have found on it was here in your forum.

Is this something you guys are doin, or am I lookin in the wrong place? Also, if I'm in the wrong place, can you direct me to the right place? If none of these, can you suggest another software that is as good or the same?

I'm sorry for all of the questions, but I have spent most of the day looking, before asking here, and I didn't think a company would hide information about a product they're trying to sell, or never thought they would make it so hard to find. :thumbdown

Anyway, I would be greatly thankful for any information about it, or any other software like it.
 
The software is being developed by Mark Klink, one of the Community Advisors here. There has been some talk about it here and that's probably why a search brought you to HD (welcome btw). You can find the software at intellodesk.com. It's still in development AFAIK, but it seems like a very promising piece of software. I'm sure that Mark (ANMMark) will tell you more about it, but this at least gives you some info.

Jordan is correct. The software is still under development. So, while I appreciate your friend suggesting it, I'm not sure how your friend would have had any experience with it, unless your friend is basing his suggestion on what we have shown on the software's home page.

We are currently in the stage of completing the administrator's control panel, and then there will be a short beta test period.

I'm not sure how much time you have, before you plan to begin implementing all of your software decisions into a business. However, IntelloDesk will be, at the very least, a few more weeks in development.

In the case that you are unable to wait for that, I would suggest having a look around at any of the helpdesk software available.
