Hi,

I don't know very much about dedicated servers.
To the point :

I'm looking for a dedicated server that will give me around 20-30gig space with a good amount of bandwith going with it. It's really very very urgent and I'd apreciate it if someone could either tell me of the best one they know or offer me one.

because you dont know about dedicated server, I am afraid that you dont know how to manage a server either :( In this case, if you dont need root access, you should stick at a large shared account. Let us know more details of your requirements

gate2vn, the OP specifically asked for a dedicated server, not a shared account.
 
you can read why I suggest him to search a shared account :)

also, my questions for him are still correct with his server request. Why do you offer him a Linux box, if he wants a Windows server, for example :)
 
gate2vn, your questions are fine. However, as stated, he specifically asked for a dedicated server. The hosts that offered, posted what they could offer him.

If the OP requires a Windows server, the OP has every opportunity to post such.

In any case, the OP specifically asked for a dedicated server. You suggesting something other than what they asked for, is against the rules.
 
Thanks. I'm compiling a list with all the offers. I'm giving it to a friend. He's currently paying aprox 3000$ a month. Yes u read right. 3000$ a month. So I kinda felt more than obliged to find him a better package than that.

With that 3000$ a month he'll be able to setup a very big server.

One more question.

This is a new hosting business so should he start with a "cheaper" server like
Intel Pentium 4™ 1.5GHZ or seeing that he has the money go for a faster more expensive server from the start.

IronCladonkey, if he has the money to spare, it would be wise to go with the best server his money can buy. Try to keep costs down of course

But since this will be hosting clients on it, it may be a good idea to go with a Dual processor, and larger specs.

Would you like quotes for larger servers as well?
