Looking for a new host! Help Me PickJ

Hi I am looking for a new host, As the host I am with now has been down a few times this month! But I need help picking a new host. What I am looking for is a host that will be able to offer me a reseller a/c with high MySQL connections to host 3 forums and directory. In total about 5 Databases.

Can anyone help find me a host? If you have any suggestions just post them here!

ipodman,

First off, the name is very interesting and I never thought someone would make one of the such.

Second off, several companies who do not have public reseller accounts maybe able to help you. Personally, I am going to go out and possibly be proscuted with why I think this; but, I would not recommend site5, godaddy, ect. I think they are jokes and they oversell their services to much. When your running forums you would like to have loads and the ability to grow.

Who I do suggest is Liquid Web, Inc. or hosting companies who use Liquid Web, Inc. Not many people have heard of them because they are local to me; but, there network is perfect. We use them and love them.

The Shared Professional will allow you to hosts five domains. If you have any further questions about them you can PM or IM.

Hello ipodman,

I have had a good run with www.Micfo.com

As you may have noticed, HostingDiscussion.com is hosted with them. I have a reseller account, which I also use to host 5 other forums. The company indeed had a turbulent past during the transition to a new DC, but now that the process is complete, the times are good again. The uptime and support has never once disappointed me.

Another safe bet is www.avidnewmedia.com

They host a couple of sites for the student association I was involved in, and so far I haven't heard (or noticed) any problems at all.. The one time I had to contact their support was to find contact information of Mark, the co-president. So it has been a smooth experience as well.

Best,

Well in offers section there are a lot plans which meet your requierments. Do a little search and that's it.

Ask for 30-day trial and test your host.

Most web hosts offer 30-day money back guarantee, so I think that would count for something.

What do you mean by "high MySQL connections", care to explain? :)

some companies host all of people with forums and if you host a forum with mysql it may go down or something.

zymhosting, please read the forum rules that you agreed to when you signed up.
This is not an advertising forum.

Having just got back into this all, I can say, site5 seems to have a good rep at the moment. Hopefully it'll stay that way ;)

SNAP!!!

I also use LiquidWeb.

I have my dedicated server with them. I can definately say their their customer support is top of the range.

When ever my site is down they have a support ticket where they reply straight away after you send them one.

Although I don't use this I prefer to contact them directly by phone. When I am on the phone talking about my sites problems they fix it there and then.

I have had a few minor site problems, like downtime, but thats only because I have a dedicated server, which I didn't really know much about and I cause most, if not all of it myself by messing around with things that shouldn't have been touched most probably.

I have been with them for about 2 years now and am going to consider running my hosting with them.

I may be getting somemore dedicated servers with them in about a years time as I'm expecting my traffic to grow quite rapidly this year.

They are a must!!!

We would need to evaluate your consumption and needs first. Cause on man's database is another man's down server. You may need a partially dedicated. Come visit us and we'll evaluate the processor needs.
