Hi all
I am looking for a reliable and fast UK host that supports ColdFusion (preferably v7.1) and was wondering if anyone could come up with any suggestions please?
I have a .com, live in the uk and serve only uk customers so the host must be a UK ip addressed one, as my current host (Hostway) host it in chicago, so being a .com it does not show up in a "UK Only" Googlesearch!
My priorities are CF 7.1 compatibility, reliability, quality of support and usability, connection speed and being physically hosted in a uk datacentre rather than finding a "cheap" host.
Aside from my main site, i also have plans to build small sites (and a few larger ones) for some 300 domains that i own - am i looking at dedicated hosting for this?
I'm also a complete newby when it comes to dedicated/shared hosting on the multi-site scale, so if anyone has any specific advice (pitfalls to avoid, hints of things to do, etc) that would help in my situation - i'd be more than grateful to hear it!
I hope to make up a shortlist of potential hosts, and give their sales and support people a call to see what they are all like.
Thanks for reading
Jim
