LicenseCube - No More WHMCS

I found this on WHT and thought i would mention it on here

http://www.licensecube.com/billing-systems/whmcs-license.php

I thought it would be important for everyone to see this that maybe impacted by the new business decision set forth by licensecube.

We apologize; at this time we’re unable to provide this license due to WHMCS’s unfair business practices (double standards). Nonetheless, we’re happy to suggest other more favorable billing systems such as; ClientExec, HostBill, and Blesta!

That really does not seems good, let see if they re-activate their licenses.

reading the WHT thread it looks like licencecube tried it on with WHMCS and never paid their WHMCS reseller invoice, so WHMCS suspended their account which in term suspended all licences under their account.

Interesting. I am sure there is a different reason behind this. I am sure they had a large amount of licenses with them. Just canceling and moving on would be hard because they would loose a lot of their profits..

We are not hearing all sides here.

I agree. its either non payment of invoices or abuse towards WHMCS staff, either way its hard on WHMCS users who purchased through licencecube, but i think these users would just go get a new licence direct or go to licencepal, so not much difference to WHMCS that way.

Dear LicenseCube Customers,

Unfortunately all licenses that were previously issued to LicenseCube, LLC have been suspended due to non-payment from LicenseCube since April 2012. In order to continue using WHMCS, it is recommended that you obtain a license from WHMCS Limited directly, or from one of its approved resellers.

Every effort has been made to get LicenseCube to pay the monies, which they have already collected from their customers, and owe WHMCS for these licenses. Regrettably, LicenseCube ceased responding to us, and we were left with no other option but to suspend all licenses issued to LicenseCube on 31st August 2012. To compound matters, LicenseCube chose to register all licenses in their name which left us with no contact details for the affected customers. As a result we were unable to contact LicenseCube’s customers before the licenses were suspended. However the suspensions will have no impact on customer facing interfaces and a new license can be easily purchased elsewhere.

In an effort to make this transition as seamless as possible, we are offering first month service for just $1 to all customers affected by LicenseCube. Please contact us directly at https://www.whmcs.com/members/submit...tep=2&deptid=5 in order to obtain a promo code.

Please also ensure that you cancel any recurring payments you have with LicenseCube for your suspended licenses.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

so if Licencecube have not paid WHMCS in 5 months, then who else have they not paid, so will LC customers find the Clientexec licences suspended next etc.

Licensecube website is also not accessible for me. looks down from everywhere according to 3:30 PM Indian Standard Time

The bigger question now is can they be counted on to be reliable? Have they made any statement as to why they have not paid? (not been on forums much lately)

nope in the 11 pages on WHT they have avoided saying yes or no when asked if they have paid. all they say is that they have enough reserve funds. (natually they will as they have taken clients monies, and not paid their own invoices). If the have not paid WHMCS, have they paid CE,cPanel, Plesk etc.

i laugh at the $4.95/mo for Softaculous they ask for as a direct VPS licence is only $12 a year and a dedicated server licence $24 a year.

This will be an interesting play out. I wonder how many people get Softaculous from them. It's actually cheaper to just buy from Soft themselves.

Buy licenses directly from developer - no headache

yes this is good advice generally, but for licences like Hostbill and WHMXtra where direct they dont offer monthly options unless you go with a 3rd party reseller, but what companies like licensecube expect is that you go on their after getting a server nad while their just order everything you need WHMCS,Soft, RVsitebuilder etc. without looking around

Only Hostbill just deleted their monthly payment option. WHMCS is still offering monthly license directly from them.

i see you have not read this thread or the WHT thread as WHMCS no longer allow LC to resell their licences as LC never paid WHMCS invoices since April 2012.

so the chances are that LC never paid their invoices to Hostbill, CE etc.

Looks to me like he is saying WHMCS offers a monthly plan on their own site considering that 7host also recommended buying directly from the developer.

WHMCS does offer a monthly plan on their own site.

Yes but Hostbill no longer offer monthly plans themselves, but LC do offer monthly HB even though HB have ceased offering a reseller facility which did allow their resellers to provide monthly plans.

I personally think LC are on a downward spiral
