Keywording for SEO

If someone is looking for a safe way to add text content/keywording for search engines to a site that contains only images/flash and no html text. As far as I can tell, any kind of SEO is considered spam by the search engines

what's the solution?

thanks

You need to make sure that whatever you do on your page, it also makes sense for the human visitor. If you do it for search engine ranking purposes only, it may be considered spam by the engines, if not now, then perhaps in the future.

highrankings.com/forum would be a good place to ask for a solution for a particular problem.

If you really want to have any traffic from search engines, leaving some space for text will be good. There is no shortcuts, you have to decide what exactly you want.

Hi,

Well, you could add meta tags, not that they mean much anymore. I guess
the <title> tag and backlinks will be what gets you on search engines.
Submit it to every search engine and directory and showcase site you
can find.

Nothing wrong with SEO, so long as it's legit. Except that rule #1 of
SEO is don't use Flash.

A few of the things that you can do is make sure that the title of your page has relevant keywords in it - this is pretty important for optimization.

Add title and alt tags for your links and your images.

I would not suggest using hidden text, because most of the major search engines will black list your site for that.

If possible reduce the usage of flash and add some text!

MOD NOTE: Linking to your own site is not permitted. All advertising belongs in the marketplace area. Thank you for your understanding.

In the image titles

It would be perfectly natural to use the keywords when titling or tagging the images. This would make sense to the search engines and not be considered spam. You often see images as "102000.jpg" on a web page but it's much better to state a keyword such as "SiameseCat.jpg", etc.

You really should add some form of text if you can. SEs love text content more than flash or pictures. Try to find some way to incorporate it into your site in a useful way. Be careful however, jamming a bunch of keywords at the bottom of your site won't do much good and is frowned upon.
