Jumpline

Does anyone else use Jumpline? The company I actually host with moved to them a few years back and claimed things would be better. The hosting itself is in fact better and we have some better options. However, after being with them for many years there were some things beyond my control and I asked them if I could pay my account one week late. They agreed and said they understand. But before the week was even up I began getting phone calls and they left a message, even got a nasty email from them that my account is about to be suspended. I was like, WHOA!

After they already agreed I could pay one week late they flip flop. It just totally pissed me off. I settled down after a bit but in my mind this will reflect on them for a long time. I have my own customers of course and never take this approach. I give them a couple of weeks and send out another friendly reminder. Then if they have not paid after one month I suspend the account and send out another reminder.

So I will be looking for another provider to purchase VPS accounts from. Maybe there are some out there that won't mind if a customer who always pays on time slips once after 4 years and needs an extra week. If Jumpline is going to be this anal I will begin the process of moving all my sites and customer sites to new VPS accounts with another provider.

I should mention that after I submitted another support ticket they did make an apology because we did have an agreement in place and they had failed to indicate that on the account. So they did make this good and I did mention to them that depending on how they handled this would determine where my future business goes. So they did come through and handled this oversight well after it was all said and done. I assured them that I would keep my word to them.

Fortunately I am relieved because I know it just stinks when we have to change providers and even at times when there are misunderstandings if they can be cleared up then everything is good. So I have to say that they handled this well in the end.

i am pleased this worked for you.
i recently had a server that did come with a WHMCS licence which due to this worked better for me cost wise as only my WHMCS would be on the server.

but had a couple issues with the email feature of WHMCS not working and even though the cron was set at 3am and the servers times set to GMT/BST the crons in my whmcs were being sent at 8am, WHMCS were blaming the server and the server provider was blaming WHMCS.

then in my ticket to the server provider who had also sent tickets in English suddenly sent me this

Te sugiero que vayas a la mierda a otro compañero de provider

which basically translates to

I suggest you go f*** o** to another provider mate
