I don't understand why some web hosts do it.
Why do some of them insist on advertising themselves as "cheap".
To me, describing their company or their prices as "cheap" leaves me with a totally negative impression of what I can expect from them and their service.
I agree with including the word "cheap" in their Meta Tag keywords ... but not in their advertising or on any of their web site pages.
Economical ... Inexpensive ... easily affordable .... those are positive descriptions. But "cheap" ... nope, no way no how do I feel it should ever be used or has any place on a company's pages or in their advertising or in their information.
There are other definitions of the word ... but the definition the word "cheap" brings to mind first to me is ...
I wouldn't think any company would want to run the risk that even ONE potential customer avoided their site because of the negative impressions conjured up by the use of just one word. Especially when there are so many other words that could be used instead. If the author of the pages can't think of those other words ... there is always the online free Thesaurus'.
So ... am I the only one who views the word "cheap" in this way?? Or am I the only one?
