Is Hosting High Maintenance?

Some work for money is pretty low maintenance. Take the example of developing a game, putting it online with a shop system, spending a month advertising, thn letting the money roll in without having to do much else.

But with hosting, you have to continually take in new accounts, answer support tickets, upgrade the server etc. must be a lot more work

YES! Hosting takes all your time. Inless you hire alot of support techs and develop trust in someone and after time let them be incharge of more than just support, that way you can sit back and relax.

But to be able to afford to do that you have to be a pretty huge comapny.

Even so called "Live Chat" is quite often controlled by bots, although some are pretty ood and make it hard to tell if it is a bot or a stupid person on the other end :)
