IPv4 and IPv6???

Can anyone explain what's IPv4 and IPv6?
Are these different types of IPs? I have been browsing *******.com and came across IP4 and IP6 free support.

Basically, IPv4 is still king and it is what you'll be using now. IPv6 is the future.

So you want to say that IPv6 is rarely used nowadays, right? But if *******.com provides it, it mean that this company is ahead of time. Good for them then.

From my understanding, networks will slowly migrate over to IPv6. It has a much larger amount of IP's that can be assigned although that may not mean everyone will then get their own IP. Part of it is for making IP assignments easier and cleaner.
