Intel versus AMD

I don't care if Intel controlled the market share illegally. I like their chips better.

I went with the flow. Typically, in the budget I had, AMD offered more computing power for the money. My most recent PC uses Intel. I just had to try the huge overclocking ability. In the end though, I used the same criterion.

I'm not the kind of person that sticks to a brand. I'm after the value. :)

As for the competition thing, I'm not too sure it isn't better to have an underdog, rather than 2 similarly sized companies, who could at some point see that they can just shake hands and agree to screw the customers together. :)

I know what you mean Dan. A while back AMD really seemed to have it going on, but Intel pulled ahead. Maybe we're back to where AMD can get more competitive.

I'm actually running an AMD right now on my desktop. I bought a Wal-mart special and just zipped it up a bit, it's been a pretty good desktop CPU all and all for the last year and a half+ that I've had it.

I still no matter what I read can't seem to find what Intel did wrong. I have always like AMD anyways over Intel and thought that it carried a better value. I know AMD made a lot of there chips in Malaysia though I think and I'm not sure were Intel makes theres. I hope there is someone out there still making stuff in the United States. It's such a great country to live in despite what were going through now.
