Most web hosts that allow domain registration on their sites are resellers of ICANN accredited registrars.

Their reseller program (WWD, eNom, ResellerClub - to name a few) will take care of the domain registration process for them.

Hi;

Every Registry has its own rules.
And all provides a tool for you to check if the domain name is taken or not.

They provide API and simply you send the request to the registry. If you get available response, you let the user start the registration.

If it is not available for one reason or another, you reply back by saying the domain name is taken.

Hello,

Domain name cannot be duplicate, since the global database does not allow the entry of single domain name twice. When a registrar registers a domain it checks if the domain is available for registration or not. If the domain is not registered then the check will show the domain is available and vice versa.

Thank you.

Regards,
