Well, I have just purchased a US Robotics Wireless Router and a PC Card for my laptop so I can share my cable connection in the house between the two computers.

Cost of order: $370 (CAD)
Time spent: 3 minutes
Pleasure: None
Expected saving from another the second hi-speed: $480 / year
Expected happiness of wireless sharing: $1,000,000
________________
TOTAL: $370 charge on my CC, no matter how you look at it. :D

Anyone here uses wireless networking at home? Is it easy to set it up? And you can practically use the connection at the same time, can't you?

Best,
Its me.

We used a wireless network for our entire internet cafe at our restaurant in Grand Cayman.
Worked great. We ran 4 computers off of each line.

No kidding! Wow, I'm impressed. How and when did this love for cooking evolved? Are you specializing in something particular or its different in a cooking industry? How does it work?

I can make a great dinner myself: chicken thighs in tomato sauce. I also bake very well. :) My mother cooks extremely well though.

I didn't really specialize. Around here they consider my specialty to be Caribbean food since I spent almost 11 years down there.
I like to study international cuisine. I have hired chefs from throughout Europe, India, Thailand and the Phillipines, just so I could learn their methods and tecniques.
I currently teach two programs, Seafood and soups, stocks and sauces in the second year program at the CIC.

I have a wireless setup at home. The only problem is that my neighbor in the apartment upstairs has a router also without WEP. So sometimes it logs on to the wrong network and I have to manually connect to the correct one.

Rambo, I actually managed to find a solution. I bought two 100-foot cords and put the router right under the laptop location upstairs.

Link Quality: 100%
Signal Quality: 80% on average. Still works fast. Speeds up to 400 Kbps.

Didn't even have to take the router upstairs. :)

I got a 2.4 gb linksys router and it does ok. And sometiems I get my neighbors Microsoft connection too. Its weird, but cool.
