How many languages do you know?

Apparently most americans think that norway is the capital of sweden. LoL.

When we became independent of sweden after several years of occupation there where many people who believed we needed a new language. Long story short it got the name New-Norwegian (nynorsk). It never replaced our original language but every student is required to be able to read and understand it, because a lot of our most famous literature is written in New-Norwegian.

Here is a sentence in both norwegian and new-norwegian.

Jeg heter aleksander.
Eg hetar aleksander.

Basically a few words were changed and some grammar was also changed.

English
German
some French

I hate French though ...... the teacher in school always made fun of me when I had trouble pronouncing a word right.

french is a beast! i loved it up until i reached AP French V and then i hated it.

i slacked off all through my 4th year because i had no intention of going on to 5. then madame and jesse decided to touble team me and they totally guilt tripped me into going on.

anyway. i was totally screwed after not paying attention at all during 4th year. i dropped at semester. i never did my homework in that class and i didnt get it anymore. *sigh*

oh well. english is my friend :D

what was really stupid of me was dropping german. i took it for a year and a half and i always got a's. but noo i dropped it because french sounded so much more romantic.

i did things the hard way, what else is new :p

English (American version)
Enough Spanish to either have a REALLY great time, get thrown in jail or end up in a fist fight - or maybe all three!
Enough French to wish I didn't know any.
