Web, magazines, radio shows... Well, hasn't been long since something like this would happen - web hosting industry now has its own television channel. And who better to think of it and produce it than Vito Ceniti (Netasis), the #1 guy in flash video technology.

Do you think television is a better mean of informing the public of industry news? Do you think its the most creative way? What would you expect from this program? As far as I'm concerned, I'm just glad I have yet another program (first Internet TV program) I would watch on a regular basis.

Netasis and WHIR is a great synergy to work on a project like this and it looks like this program is here to stay.

PS: I would certainly love to see interviews with hosting industry professionals, see their faces, meet them through this channel.

I'd like to see that feature too.

WhirTV has some great potential.

They could also garner a great audience with actual reviews. Take random companies and review them, top to bottom. The fact that this could be done in a TV format would really give it an edge over all these other "review" sites.

Yes, we are already working on adding some interviews. Coming soon. ;)

Simon, sounds like a good idea, but I'm not sure how we would work reviews into the mix. Interviews are relevant since we could integrate them into related news stories. But I think reviews would be something totally different from delivering "news".

If I may, I wonder if I could get your feedback about onscreen talents. Internally, we are debating the merits of 2 specific talents - Anastasia and Stacy.

Stacy just oozes professionalism.

I've noticed in a few movies, the 3 samples included, and our own; she just drops right in to the role at hand beautifully.

Anastasia would come a close second, though.

Now, how about adding a weather report (internet weather)? :D

To be fair, I watched the "New VPS Tools Launched" broadcast by both Stacy and Anastasia. Both talents performed well. However, like Simon, I would have to say that Stacy seems to give a more professional, enthusiastic presentation.

Regardless of who presents the news, I think that WHIR TV is a great idea. Good luck with it, Vito.
 
I can only agree that Stacy's been doing a very good job. I liked her very much from the first time I saw the onscreen talents sample movies a few months ago at http://www.netasis.com/talents.html

It's not an easy job because the current setup makes it so that the person is the total focus of attention.
 
Thanks for the feedback. They are both quite professional and talented in what they do. They both have great camera prescence. I will admit that I think Anastasia has more of a "newsroom" feel to her delivery.

We was actually looking into advertising on WHIR TV. However, I'm curious to know how it is doing before we pursue into doing that.
