Seems like Hostgator and The Planet are down.

Gotta love it...they came back up as I typed this. No, they were actually down and it created quite a stir. :agree:

lol I see. Well, when a host goes down for even a minute, the clients go beserk! lol people need to relax and just wait till the site is back up and submit a ticket asking what happened. No need to riot n what not

Before confirming they were actually down this reminded me of a customer that called once..

They said "The internet is down!" as if to let me know the entire internet was down worldwide. Obviously it was just their connection, but it was worth a good laugh.

It was a brief one, but they were indeed down. Something took place at The Planet and I hope we'll learn the details soon enough.

Yep, theplanet I think is slipping. But, who knows what went wrong now.

The Planet has provided the following information, which we will continue to update as it becomes available:

* Issues limited to The Planet's H1, H2, and D6 datacenters.
* There was a block of IP addresses that were not advertising correctly to the rest of the Internet.
* The Planet is investigating

Update from The Planet here

The outage (approx 15 minutes) affected 9 of our servers at Hands-on. It also affected HD here.

The next day, there was a different issue which affected 4 of our servers in another DC - but these have been the only network issues since the Electrical Fire last year.

Overall The Planet is still very much a very reliable company to work with!
