So far the year has been crappy to say the lease. Earthquake in Haiti has really bummed me out big time. I sense the currency crisis is not far away as well.. If not this year, then by 2012 for sure. I think the global economy, especially American one, is going to get a LOT worse. So can't say the new year has been particularly cheerful.
 
Certainly, the earthquake in Haiti was completely tragic. For anyone who has never been to that part of the world, these people were already incredibly poor. This mass destruction and loss of life will intensify unbelievable hardships on them for years to come. When I saw the thread by ServInt calling on all hosts to join forces to help in the relief efforts, I thought, "What a great idea." Every dollar helps.
