HostBill new support policy

Have any of you heard about HostBill's support policy, from now on with new clients they will be limited to just 30 days free support and after that, any more support requests via tickets will be charged at $15 a ticket, While customers before a certain date, including those with lifetime licenses will not be limited to the same policy but instead of getting unlimited support they will be limited to 10 support tickets a month or a year, not sure which it is.

They are going to lose business. I can't see why they would do that especially with whmcs giving free support. I am not familiar with hostbill but if they are getting overwhelmed with support tickets maybe they should improve their product?

have you not heard Hostbill is a good product but their staff have no idea where they placed their computers  as for some reason they dont answer support tickets.

Hostbill are always making changes. such as

1) they started by only offering monthly licences, but now you can only order lifetime licences.
2) they set up a reseller programme, where resellers could actually offer monthly licences, but within 1 month they susppended this.

I dont use this myself but well documented on WHM and other forums

Do they not offer a monthly license? I dont see the option for it, if they dont thats their bigger mistake.

Compared to WHMCS it's missing a lot, and now they're removing free support?

I don't think this will last long.

you do know you dont get free support with WHMCS. this is included within the monthly licence fee and when you purchase a lifetime licence you gat a years support with the licence and then have to pay $45 a year after that for support

This is one reason it is better to just go all "in-house". This is something we are in the process of doing. Our site, forums, control panels, and client management are all coded from scratch by us which gives us complete control and freedom and not have to rely on some 3rd party software where our career/lives are concerned.
