Choosing where to stash your data isn't just about features—it's about finding a partner that fits. What are some green flags you guys look out for when choosing a CoLo host? I thought of a couple namely:
  1. Quick to handle emergencies
  2. Top Knotch Levels of Security
  3. Good Scalability
Please feel free to add some more

  • High levels of redundancy to prevent data loss
  • Compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Transparent pricing and billing practices
  • Strong customer support and communication
  • Proximity to your location for quick access and support
  • Strong network connectivity and bandwidth options
  • Flexibility in terms of contract terms and customization options

You mentioned emergencies, security, and scalability — all solid green flags. I’d also add: clear and honest communication, transparent pricing (no surprise fees), and tech support that actually knows what they’re talking about. Bonus points if they make upgrades or maintenance sound effortless.
