From what I read last year, according to official Google sources, they perform on average 3-4 updates to search algorithm daily.

Panda version 24 was released and there was some changes with Google on the 17th, however Google states that it was not related to Panda - that was the big news that was coming down the pipeline since mid-december.

My point was that I'm not actively doing anything specific with SEO particularly in mind. That aside, nofollow is used here; which is supposed to not influence the rank of the target.

I know some people that eat, sleep and breath SEO. Really though I still see many people caught up in the SEO deal, who would pass that up unless they prefer to not have visitors to their sites?
