Google has launched new service as part of their Maps product called Street View. You can now "land" and walk through streets with panoramic 360 degree views, zooming in objects of interest, checking out buildings and street activity (what a treat for those looking for their new house - to check out the neighborhood!)

PS: Street View is oly available in selected cities for now, but its clear this will be expanding as we go. I wonder if the new service has something to do with Google's recent acquisition of Panoramio.com
