Maybe the community can help me with this . I've recently been on the look out for jobs pertaining to Network Security. As a Masters Student in Network Security the job market is pretty open and I will be graduating this June (at the age of 22). I've had very good offers to work abroad and basically I would like to take the offer as they are truly incredible to say the least and will help with my future career and resume. This, however, means selling the hosting business which is unfortunate as I will not have time to work on it as I have before (the jobs will require traveling). I, however, do not want to just send my clients off to some unreliable host but somebody I can work with to ensure that the clients are not screwed over if you will and are transfered over appropriatly. I've worked very hard to establish the company so it definetly pains me to see me have to leave it but if I must leave it I want to leave it in good hands.
So can anybody give me tips on selling a web hosting company? How much can I offer/recieve? It's not really about the money here but more of me worrying and ensuring my customers do not get screwed over much.
What the other company will get:
1) Kayako Support Suit (Purchased a week ago)
2) VBulletin Owned License (10 Months left on renewal)
3) IntelloDesk
4) Modernbill
5) Client base of 40ish clients.
6) Slight Profit Margin
7) Server location in Chicago at Steadfast w/DirectAdmin
8) Installatron license
The clients went with us because A) We use FreeBSD Servers, B) We use DirectAdmin, C) We offer good support. Changing these three factors will most likely lose the buyer clientel.
Where can I start?
Thanks.
