Global Internet Solutions (www.gisol.com) is a deceiver.

I'm having them as my web host for a while. Because my company is extending, I need an other website. This company had a "special offer", so I registered a new domain for 2 years. Instead the special offer price which is $180 for 2 years, they charged me over $1000 for 3 years. The reason they gave me is my case is renew account, not register a new account (but at same time, they still charge me my old account). After a while negotiate, I gave up. I'm just a "small potato"! I just want to cancel the service with them. I sent tons of email to ask the cancellation and refund policy, but for months, no one return my emails at all. I don't know what I can do now!

I just want to let everyone know that This company is deceiver! Don't have any business with them!

JoannaW, what do you mean you just gave up? If they have not refunded you, have you tried contacting your Credit Card company and filing a chargeback through them. In most cases, if you waited months, your right to file a chargeback might be gone. Most credit card companies give you up to 30 days after issue of invoice to file a claim.

I certainly hope you did not lose $1000 to a web hosting company services of which you didn't use (as I understand).

Best,

DITO if you did not get the service you asked for then you are within your rights

most reputable web hosts would make it right :)

From http://www.gisol.com/policies/current.html:

Anytime Money Back Guarantee: All of our virtual web hosting packages come with an Anytime Money Back Guarantee. This means that you may cancel your web hosting package at any time and receive credit for the unused portion of your account minus promotional fees, if any, will be deducted from the amount of your credit.

Did you try to contact them by phone? Maybe your emails never arrived.

How could I take off my post

Thanks for everyone's help. Now I'm still negotiating with this company. I worry if they see my post, I'll have even harder time to deal with them. Anyone can help me to take off my post?

I won't give up.

Thanks for everyone.

I don't see a problem with your post since you haven't identified yourself. The internet literally flooded with both negative and positive reviews of all companies, so unless you specify which URL you are hosting with the company, there is no way for anyone to identify you.

I wish you the best. Btw, may I ask why you are negotiating with the company. You simply have to send in the request for a refund, based on their Anytime Money Back Guarantee, and according with their cancellation procedure, and if they don't budge, call your Credit Card company.

Best,

I'm sure the provider won't take it too personally they seem like a serious company and probably won't play those sort of games.

My partner called them. At beginning we still want to keep our plan, just want to pay the right amount which promote on their web site. They discuss on the phone for quite a while, not happy discussion. They quite firm about the price they charged us. Then we decide to cancel the service and change to an other company. We sent tons of emails to both cancellation and refund department, but no one replay our emails.......

It sounds like what they are trying to do is delay the process so that they do not refund at all, not directly or indirectly. I suggest calling your CC company immediately, but don't get your hopes up anymore. CCs are even more strict on chargeback policies. If it was a while back, it is likely you won't be able to do much now.

I suggest scanning the Better Business Bureau next time when you choose your company. Don't fall for attractive offers or promotions just because they are out there. Choose a company based on client feedback.

Gisol does not seem to be in good standing with the BBB.org at all:

I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Over in the UK there is a law you pay for what you see, and is good business practice to follow this very simple rule, if they refusing this, then they need to change they website, is mis advertising, I would agree with everyone else, if they dont give you this do a chargeback. (I hate them myself) but that just not right.

Thanks
John
