Geek babies

Maybe not babies so to speak but do we have any parents here with children that might be turning into geeks as well? I have always wondered since most geeks I know, well their parents are not geeks themselves, so where does it come from when a child wants to turn ot the geek side?

No i don't think so, the parent love always is grandness.

My three year old is turning into a geek. She does French and Welsh lessons on the computer and so is becoming rather a dab hand at using it. I'm sure that given another ten years and her own machine, she'll be wowing us with her programming.

My son sits with me while I build computers & listens when I moan about servers. I will make a geek out of him yet

Hello,

I do not have any children of my own, 'yet'. But, I'm 140% sure when I have some little ankle biters they will be geeks / nerds also. My kid will be the only kid in kindergarden that can make a custom web design in Photoshop, haha.

Well I know the white noise in the back is always a good thing when you have a newborn and sometimes even a toddler that is not really wanting some naptime. We are geeks in this house and I just wondered of those out there with kids, if any expected their own to turn up different or the same as far as it comes to this addiction many of us seem to have.
