funny happenings at HostingZoom lately?

Anyone else note any trouble?

I've had a ResellerZoom account for two years or so. Given the close relationship between ResellerZoom and HostingZoom, I'd expect a problem at one to show up as a problem at the other.

ResellerZoom was very reliable for quite a while. But lately I've been having annoying problems.

They've started losing track of my monthly payments, sending me e-mails threatening to turn off my sites as much as a week after I sent them payment. After I e-mail them copies of the PayPal receipts they stop threatening. But not so long ago, that stuff didn't happen at all.

Downtime seems to have increased sharply lately, too.

Am I just lucky, or is there a real problem there?

It sounds like a common problem for companies going through some kind of transitional/transformational period, such as a merger, an acquisition, datacenter moves, changes in client care software, etc. Has the company made any announcements recently that might shed light to these problems you started to experience?

If you don't like their services change them.
There are a lot of companies that offer nice services for affordable prices. I can mantion just some of them: ***********.com, Ptgwebhosting.com and ************. These companies provides top notch reselling services with in-house support that works really 24/7.

Could be that they have new employees in their billing dept. or something too. You can always ask them I suppose :)

I've seen bad reviews of them recently, perhaps it's a new support team or over-expansion or something similar.

They used to provide a good service with good rep.

Is it related to server overload? Maybe it's simply their business model catching up with them. You know, resellers adding more and more accounts.

Which type of package do you have with them?

This is basically a bad sign for any business. I was in almost the same situtation. My advice is that you start looking for a new place. Chances are these guys aren't responsible enough anymore to take care of their customers.

The hosting I was with, they basically shutdown and left. I just don't want to see anyone else get stuck too. Be sure to backup ASAP too.

While that's always a possibility, I really doubt it would happen with a host like Resellerzoom, simply because there's too much value in the brands and company, and it would prompt the owner to sell rather than flee.

I always thought it's impossible.
100% uptime indefinitely, quite improbable. 100% for a couple of months, quite easy. That's why it's important to know detailed about the uptime, like the period of monitoring, the frequency of checks etc.
