How to become a Moderator?
Be Friendly, Fluent and Fair.
HostingDiscussion.com is looking for outstanding individuals who can dedicate their time and contribute their best communication talents to guide and guard one of the leading hosting communities on the web.
It is not easy being a Moderator at HostingDiscussion.com, but it does have certain advantages. You get to network with people, you get to learn how to reach fair decisions and you just involve yourself in the industry way more than expected. Finally, a position of a moderator helps you become a more responsible human.
HostingDiscussion.com team is looking for a couple of new staffers to take on Moderator duties. There are, like in everything else, certain requirements:
- You have to be 18 years of age or older.
- English has to be your first language.
- Know the HostingDiscussion rules: general and forum-specific.
- You have to be comfortable enforcing the HD policies and lead by example.
- Being a current registered member with positive history and great posts is a major plus.
- You cannot run, operate, work, volunteer for any web hosting company.
- You have to be comfortable on the forum subject to keep up discussions, advice and resolve conflicts if such appear.
- Be very friendly, fair and reasonable with people. Always.
- You have to hang around here a lot to respond to issues fast.
Keep in mind that we work as a team. If you need help with anything, there is ALWAYS someone who can advice or help you make the best decision. By working as a team, by monitoring and analyzing difficult situations, we manage to detect and prevent repetitive behavior and fix things that need to be fixed with a high succession rate.
HostingDiscussion.com has a team to be proud of! We would like to continue the tradition of gaining great leaders passionate about the industry who truly enjoy dealing with people and who are intrinsically motivated to improve HostingDiscussion.com.
If interested, please send you application by PM to 'Artashes' or e-mail at: artashes (at) hostingdiscussion.com. Tell us WHY we should pick you to be the next big community leader and give us your take on how you will improve the community! Be creative and honest.
Decisions are based on feedback of all HD staff members. If you don't get selected, this is not the end of the world. We just think that you can add more value by continuing to be a member.
Good luck and we hope to be working with you soon!
