Hello all!

OK, so what do you guys think about email marketing? And yes, I mean legit email marketing.

Does it work? Is it worth it?

Please do not post about scammers/spammers I know. This topic is about legit ones and if their worth my time and money.

Thanks

Email marketing was once one of the most effective ways of promoting commercial services of the companies and finding new customers but gradually, more people have turned to other marketing channels when they decide to research the net, trying to find bargains and great deals. The fact is that today, even subscribers to the newsletters would not examine all advertisements in letters.

There is a tendency to ignore commercial text links inside the newsletters, even if they come from reputable companies. If you look at PPC ads popularity and how firms invest in their paid advertisements heavily, you will notice that the admins of big firms may not tend to spend a lot of cash to include their ads inside emails and they prefer to use other advertising methods like PPC.

It's really hard now days to make a email that anyone will read. Most of the people just ignore them or delete them even if you offer great deals(especially big companies). Adwords and banners are the way to go. Thats why its important to have big budget when starting a hosting business and a lot of time and patience.

I stop doing email marketing because i do not get the amount of traffics i want, my friend says it is effective only if you spent a lot of time and effort for it. other people view this as spamming on their emails.

Emailing marketing is somewhat time intensive. The quality of your content has to be exceptional or it'll hit the junk pile in a flash. That's not to say it can't be done, because you can still brand yourself and your company as experts.

I have a sign-up form on my website. Visitors are asked to sign up if they want to be notified when I release new PLR material. So I use email marketing to let them know, and to offer deals on my PLR. I get some repeat buyers so I guess it's serving its purpose for me.

I tried using this technique with a website that I worked on months ago. It worked for a couple of e-mails but not totally helped on the overall traffic.
