Email Address Wanted but Site Not

There is a domain that I own that I would like to use for only the email addresses, and not for a site itself. Would it seem too strange to just have an 'under construction' index.html and nothing else? Or should I put up a simple site for it?

You can have your emails with your domain and instead of "Under Construction" page , just set an index that will be showing your webmail login page.

have u heard **************?
they are offering ads free 250MB php/ MySql hosting. just creat an account & update the nameservers of your domain get everthing free.

Yup all you need is email hosting solutions or you can buy a regular hosting package and redirect your index.html to your webmail login.

I'd make quick site

Why not toss up a quick page, perhaps just as a splash page even, that promotes something else? Either a simple review of a product that has an affiliate program or a page that tells about your other things that you do online? Like redirecting any traffic to something that will benefit you in some way.

I hadn't considered an ad page because I try and keep my family stuff separate from business. Ultimately that would be what the domain would host-a family site, photos and so on. Time is just so limited that I wouldn't have one for a while.

Not at all, especially if it'll be developed as a personal site later on.

If you eventually want a personal site then just get some free hosting that you can set emails up on. Then you will have your address, webmail, and the webspace for setting up a site later. Who cares what's on your site index? If it's a personal site you could just leave it as a 404 or the default index.html for your host. Really it won't matter since it's only a personal website.

I found something a few weeks ago. FatCow has what they call a MiniMoo account for $5/year. It's basically a placeholder for your domain, plus an email account. Then when you're ready to build a site, just upgrade. Other companies charge about that much per month. Hope that helps.

This is entirely your own choice. If you have a page designed and would like to upload that instead of your under construction page, it is definitely a better idea.
