Dreamweaver CS5

I've been using CS3 version of the Dreamweaver for quite some time and frankly I don't need anything new and I don't like updating just for the sake of updating. Are there any features in the new version that are worth the effort? :)

Dreamweaver CS5 is really cool. But I have heard that it has lots of issues with php. Now honestly I havent had any problems at all with CS5. So it could be personal preference.

I'm using CS5 and and didn't find anything new in this version. Now it depends ... it has some improvements . But for me the last versions were also ok.

In CS5 they try to make you use CSS a lot more than they did in CS3, personally if i where you, I wouldn't update, CS3 does the job :)

I'm not sure I understand that comment.
How is the software trying to make you use CSS a lot more?

Back in CS3, if you wanted to for example center a piece of text, you would simple press the center button and the program would add the following code:
Code:
<center> your text </center>
And if you wanted to change the colour of some text, you would choose the colour and the program would add the code similar to this:
Code:
<font color="red">your text</font>

However now, if you try to press the button to center text, or to change font colour, a new box appears asking you to create a CSS rule for these changes, so its doing this to try and make us use CSS more i suppose...

:)

My theory is always that if something works, just stick with it. Same thing applies in this case too :)
I have just the opposite theory on upgrades. Of course, it's all relevant to your specific goals and business. Would the upgrade require a steep learning curve? And even if it did, would it allow you to become more creative or productive? Sure, you can continue to do what you've always done, and if that works for you, great. Some upgrades aren't worth the price or effort, but others are. More often than not, I'll opt to upgrade if for nothing else, to keep pace with the industry. :D

HostMantis has mentioned very nice link to see the difference between the version of the dream weaver. I have been using CS3 and start to learn using CS5 becasue CS5 is very nice version with extra ordinary features so it will take time to use through it for me.

I have been using dreamweaver CS3 for a really quite long time and i din't face any problem in using CS3. So i prefer using CS3 only and not opting for a new version.

I have CS5 but I only ever use the code view so I'm guessing there isn't any difference by doing so. I have to admit though watching what people can do in Dreamweaver without looking at the code is amazing!

Most visitors to sites don't know a lot about web design. If the site is visually appealing, loads fast, can be easily navigated and has quality content, they don't care how it was created. A lot of the stuff that a designer will notice immediately routinely gets passed over by most users. I always use a split screen in Dreamweaver, and that works fine for me. :D

I have dreamweaver CS5 and all the Other CS5 Products.
It cost me alot of money. I am all for the updates because they make the software better.
