Doom-the-Movie.

They are years late....the first person shooter type of effect they show in the trailer will make the movie a little bit "weird" to watch.

anyways, the rock is always fun to watch, hehe

I wouldn't say they're years late, they JUST released Doom 3 about a year ago in 2004, before that Doom II was released in 1994 with Doom releasing in 1993.

I might be a bit biased, I love Doom. But I do have to say, this movie is going to suck. They really lost my interest when they recruited "The Rock" to come in and lead.

So I am not the only one who thinks that. I mean, if any game out there, they could have at least chose Counter Strike, a game more popular than Doom ever was (I think, I never play games...)

Now see, the only reason CS was so popular was because of it's internet multiplayer, that doom 2 never was able to really market. Gotta keep in mind, CS is a game for the "kiddies" while Doom was more "old school", and released during a time when 14 year olds couldn't get a summer job, buy a computer the game, and use their parents' high speed internet.

I will admit this though. I did purchase Doom 3 last year when I was at QuakeCon, it is still in the shrink wrap, while Half-Life 2 I purchased a month or so ago, and have played Counter-Strike: Source a whole 3 times. I guess that does mean, that even for me - CS is more popular than Doom.

Then again, Doom 3 is meant to be played alone, late at night, with the lights off and the sound up. That is something I've yet to have time to do.

/end fence rant.

saw this movie tonight.

WAS ASOME!
The first person was for only a couple seens but was great! Great plot 2!

I've never had the best of luck when it came to movies based on games. I mean, look at what they did with House of the Dead. When it comes to ruining a movie, the producer there really shot himself in the foot. They incorporated actual "gun-blasts" from the movie when bullets were fired.

The Rock isn't a bad actor, although my past experience with movies based on games would almost prevent me from seeing this movie. I'm still looking for a few friends to go and just tell me about it before I waste my money.
