I saw another person asked about this company's services but the post was older so i decided to put this word in about dediwebhost.com ...
I started with them a very short time ago so i can't give you any in depth review but here is what I can tell you...
I signed up for a dedicated in california.The server took about 48 hours to setup even though I was told it could take longer...
During the setup process and immediately afterword i received communication from them as to where the order was and expected times. I dont mind waiting if I know what is happening. I was happy with this part of the service!
I also signed uo for the FULLY Managed plan.
While I feel comfortable with managing a server it is nice to have someone help out. Sort of like getting your lawn mowed.. yes I can do it, but for a couple of bucks, why not have someone do it better? :idea:
I have placed several tickets and all were answered promptly and resolved in a reasonable time. As a note, I have to say in all honesty that some of these tickets were beyond what i would have expected server support to cover. For example, I needed GD support installed and a modificatin to my php,ini file (God, I sound lazy now...) and sent both in on one ticket. Instead of quoting me about what responsibilities lie with whom, they just took care of it for me. What more could I ask for?
The downside is that there is no phone support set in place at this time and if a crushing emergency were to occur, I'm not sure how long a response time would take.
Overall, for a start, I would give Dediwebhost a 8/10.
(note to dedihost.. the extra 2 points are for no phone support...)
