Have you ever tried it?
Is the quality of the audio much better?
Is it easier to get a reception with DAB?
How much did you pay for yours?
I listen to the radio a lot, every day and sometimes also at night so Im thinking of getting a DAB radio soon but want to know what they are like first

Btw, incase anyone doesnt know, DAB is just digital radio instead of the normal which most people use

Yeah thats digital radio too (I think)
I know here the radio on the cable is digital and I have that but never use it.
Dont like listening to the radio on the TV
It probably is the same thing you see though

I'm thinking about getting one of those here in Norway. Although we don't call them DAB we just call it digital radio.

My tv has a LOT of digital radio channels and some of them are quite good so I'm getting a portable digital radio so I can listen to it on the go.

This is a new thing to myself personally.. is there a big difference in quality? I would think there would be..

if you have cable TV there should be some digital channels Gordy, they sound a lot clearer than the normal radio.
Its like watching TV which is digital instead of the normal analog which you use the aerial for

Apparently (though I have yet to confirm this with my own eyes - or should that be ears?) the quality of digital radio is close to, if not exactly the same as, CD quality audio.

So yeah, it's a bit better than good old FM. But the price of DAB radios in the UK prevented me from every buying one. I mean, 200 for a radio? Um, no.

Basically if you have satellite, i.e sky then the quality is 192Khz MP2 encoding and is pretty good. DAB is 128Khz so it can be noticable if you have a good ear

I've seen a pocket sized version here in Norway for 1000 kr. That's less than 100 pounds.

I'll get the ferry across the North Sea then shall I? Oh, that would cost me the petrol from here to Hull (I'd have to remortgage my house to afford that), the ferry ticket itself, and then getting from the terminal to the shop, where I can finally save myself...oh, bugger...I've just spent more than that getting here haven't I?

(Yes, I know I could order it online, but this is a post poking fun at myself, so ner)
