Customizable Calendar

I'd like to add a calendar to a site. I have something specific in mind and can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. I need something very clean which displays the full month and shows each entry which would be a custom entry. I'd also like for the calendar to have a pop up upon hovering over the entry. If anyone has any script to share it would be appreciated or if you could point me towards something similar.

:crash: This poor computer takes a good hit these days. I keep thinking I know what I need to do but then I don't. Everything on this site that I need to put this on is done via FTP using Filezilla, yes I know that is a cheap way out but I've yet to do anything other than this because thus far it has worked. Could you give me a bit of a jump start on how I might go about doing this, if it is possible? I thought I just download the file and then upload via FTP but that didn't work. :help:

Filezilla is good - I use it here on one of my computers. No worries there.

Uploading via FTP is the normal method for the files to go into your site. Did you edit the configuration file? Did you need to create a database? Were permissions necessary to be set on the files that were different than when you uploaded?

Well, since I do everything from scratch and really do not have a clue what I am doing, I am confused. Usually, I open notepad, write up my HTML coding and then upload the file to the folder I'd like it added. I don't think I changed anything, should I have?

I think you need a MySQL database for this script. You can read the "Getting Started Guide" here: http://docs.easyphpcalendar.com/

Or you could always use Google Calendar, as handsonhosting suggested.

The easyphpcalendar can use either MySQL Databases or a Flat File system, but it will require some configuration and changing of file permissions.

Ok so I was trying with Filezilla, which all their things say "coming soon" next to them for Filezilla. Do either of you know FTPVoyager or SmartFTP easy to use and are either free? I'd be willing to use one of those just so I can use this calendar lol. Or else I can go with Google <sighs>...
