Nightshadow Productions, LLC is seeking a content writer with previous writing experience in the fields of technology, web hosting, and general Internet-industry news.
This is an independent contractor position. We observe all federal laws, and will issue you a 1099-MISC in 2011. As such, we will require documentation proving the U.S. citizenship/eligibility to work of the successful applicant. This means the successful applicant will be required to produce government-issued photo identification, proof of valid social security number/taxpayer ID number, and proof of address.
The requirements for this position are as follows:
1.) A reliable Internet connection
2.) The ability to be reached via e-mail, IM, or telephone.
Interested applicants, please follow the below instructions exactly. Failure to do so will result in your application not being considered:
1.) Send the following to jobs@nightshad.com:
a.) Your resume. If you do not have one, download our application and fill it out completely: http://www.nightshad.com/about/corp/jobs/
b.) Samples of your writing. We will need to see at least three separate samples of articles or essays that you've written. Preference is given to writers whose works have been published in bona fide publications, or on legitimate websites.
c.) At least three references who can be reached via telephone, and who are not related to you, and do not reside with you.
Please be aware that background checks will be performed on potential writers, including a check of any complaints on industry boards.
This position will start off slow during a probationary period. Pay depends upon your experience, and is paid on a per-article basis. Payment will be made once per month via PayPal or paper check, depending on your preference.
Because this is an independent contractor position, you determine the time of day and manner in which you complete your assigned article(s), and you will be solely responsible for supplies needed, including an Internet connection. You will not be supervised nor will you be told how to do your job. The assigned article(s) will be expected on the due date, and the rest is up to you. This will require someone who is self-disciplined.
The deadline for submitting your resume and material for consideration is June 30, 2010. This position is for individuals only. Companies, staffing firms, etc., please do not apply.
