Child abuse...horrible story

I don't want to use the term story, as to me that instils that there could be a happy ending and yet case is to clinical, situations like that pull on heart strings and make us feel disgusted at those who let it happen. An example being:

"when paramedics were called to the house on August 3, 2007, to find Peter blue and cold in his blood-spattered cot, they were horrified when his mother kept the ambulance waiting while she searched for her cigarettes."

Personally all of these services that we pay for as a whole who are there to prevent such tragedies do a good job, it's not fair to say they don't however they lack funds and the authority to do anything without evidence which in most cases is covered up...

It saddens and disgusts me at those who carry out such tragedies but as there are those of us who feel that way there are also those who understand their way of thinking.. none the less I can't see why with the number of interventions of the various service involved nothing was noticed enough so to prevent this...

Just my personal thoughts..

That's so sickening and disturbing. No child is supposed to die, let alone in that horrible way. What a terrible short life...

I hope they both get to rot in a tiny lil dark hole with nothing but bread and water for the rest of their lives. Death is too good for them... What they did is unforgivable. :(

I wish I hadn't watched that.

That child was only alive for a year, and in that year he suffered a lot. The father should have tried harder in his attempt to steal the child away. I posted the video as this story touched my heart and I wanted to share it so everyone out there will see that abuse is something that no one should ignore.

That child could have been someone great...Someone who cured a major disease, or invented something that improved human daily life...But we will never know now because of those people. That child could have done so many great things, but at least now He is in peace and no longer suffering.

And to think that there are probably tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of kids going through same abuse as this kid in the world, is sickening. People might be developed, but they are certainly the most disgusting species on this planet.

I remember reading about this when it happened and the note from one of the sites that says "Those convicted are likely to be given new identities upon release" I fully disagree with. I have no issues with watching people like this fry, and I am not talking the easy way out either.

I don't see why they should get new identities...I think people like this should have to keep their name for the rest of their lives. They should not be allowed to hide from what they did...It makes no sense.

Looking at the actions and statements given by the parents and witnesses it is clear that what most of us would consider the best punishment, i.e living with it. Will not be a punishment for the two as clearly if they were willing to delay the emergency services and carry out such a tragedy they clearly hard no feeling towards the child.

The provision of new identities is due to the judicial system we created as a whole, a.k.a one where second chances are given to those who clearly don't deserve them and those who do then go without, in essence over time we have created a system that protects the criminals just as much as it does the victims.

It's an area many have strong views for good reason however such a judicial system is emplace due to us as a whole therefore such people get away in essence with such crimes as they simply don't care for their lives or the consequence. Then who does the blame fall to?

Tsk tsk. If a mother can't be responsible enough with her offsprings then she has no right at all to be called a MOTHER. The story is disturbing, yet I pitty these kids who experience the same thing.

If you're quily of a crime, I absolutely believe the punishment should fit the crime, but very often it doesn't - but there has to be guidelines, and no one will ever agree on the baseline.
