Can't view a domain!

Does anyone have any idea why I cannot see a domain name www.startuptalk.com ?

I changed the nameservers almost 2 days ago, WhoIs gives me the correct information, yet the web site doesn't load for me - gives the usual timeout error "The page cannot be displayed".

Best,

It works for me, so it must be setup correctly, so the only guess I have is that either your ISP hasn't updated it's cache, or your computer hasn't updated its cache. Try the following command in the run box.

Code:
ipconfig /flushdns

Hope this helps :)

Hmm, the connectivity is fast, but it still leads to an empty page.

:crash:

You see, when the vBulletin was installed, it was installed through an IP address (while the URL was propagating), but I was assured this would not have any effect on the web site.

In fact, the person who installed the script could see the site right after the installation.

Are you able to ping the domain and get a response?
How do you ping a domain again?..

EDIT: The weird part is - even my e-mail doesn't work on that domain..

Open your command prompt (which you can easily do by typing "command" into the run box) and type "ping startuptalk.com" and hit enter. If it is working properly, it should say "Reply from 64.246.10.112" a few times.

C:\>ping startuptalk.com
Ping request could not find host startuptalk.com. Please check the name and try
again.

Ahh. Then my guess is that it just hasn't propgated for you yet. The only thing that I can say is to give it some time, and if it doesn't work in another day, give your ISP a call. Maybe somebody else has some ideas. I'm fresh out ;)

I can see the site no problem.

I switched web hosts a few weeks ago ... and of course had new IPs for my name servers. I am on Sympatico high speed ... and 5 hours after implementing the IP change I was consistently accessing the new space.

But ... the friends whose sites I host ... one has the Sympatico HS too and he had no problems accessing the new space. But everyone else ... it took 2 to 4 days for them to consistently be directly to the new space. It seemed each ISP took varying times. I guess it was dependent on the routes taken by each ISP to get to the servers (or something ;) )

Patience ... the only suggestion I have :)

Wow, finally after 4 DAYS (!) I can view the domain. I have never had these kind of domain delays in my life.

Congratulations!!! I've had to wait about a week one time (this was about 3 hours). It's so hard to wait like that...it leaves you thinking that its broken! :)

startuptalk.com works fine for me and I believe the problem that Artashes was having is solved. Can you ping the domain and get a response?
