Is there a way to talk about hosting services that totally suck, not just as a drag but also to better inform hosting comunity about certain services that do certain or maybe all the bad tricks,on some countries is called put out of family or putting loundries treasures to the sun.

My point nis not playing rattle snake shake just if a web host did something bad to me why not saying it,I bet whenever you are not allowed to tell things or somehow in the allabout not allowed is because it aint that good.
Good things come out to the sun and cant be hidden with a finger toe

Lots of mixed metaphors here in this post, but I got the gist of things.

Certainly if you've been wronged by a hosting company, exposure of the bad practice is something that will help not only potential clients of that company but also help other hosting companies know what NOT to do.

There is a difference in just "airing ones dirty laundry" and ranting about how much a host sucks. Blanket statements of "xxxxxxx sucks" doesn't do anyone any good, however if you give the details of the event, and then once questioned, maybe post the company (or if an admin can validate the event). It's just like a review of a company, there has to be some way to validate the claim.

I agree that exposure of a web host's bad practice can help hosting communities, be it the users and the providers. But you had better communicate the issue with the web host and see what their response before you make it public.

Just wanted to chime in and state that many hosts, will work with you if you have a little patience with them to get things right.

Many times it may be necessary to jump though a few hoops to get to the right department or manager but it may be worth the effort depending on the situation.

Good Luck

I'd say it's fine to share your good and bad experiences with a provider, but be sure your review is verifiable. I've seen a lot of bad posts backfire on the OP.

I agree with what Steve-Hostirian said good experiences need to be shared with everybody but as far as bad experiences are concerned one should keep those experiences for their future references rather than sharing them. This is my view point only.

It's hard to determine which hosting providers "totally suck" because no one web hosting provider can make every client happy. I'd be willing to bet that there is no hosting provider that does not have a single negative review posted about them anywhere

I completely agree with you. It also depends on the client themselves and what they expect from the provider.

However, I also agree that you should be able to inform others about your bad experiences providing that you can back it up with evidence.

Jack

In my opinion, a review should detail what happened. It often happens that a customer has unreasonable expectations, misinterprets what the host's obligations are, refuses to take responsibility for his own actions (such as agreeing to a TOS only to denounce it now that a clause has come to affect him).

Simply saying "they suck and they're a scam" doesn't prove anything, it's just a personal interpretation of facts. It is, in a way, like a vote in election: just because you vote for X, it doesn't mean he's necessarily better than Y. :)

A public forum is an ideal place to post a good or bad experience you'v had with a web host.

Since there are always two sides to every story, it gives the person an opportunity to explain their experience, but at the same time it gives the host in question a chance for rebuttal.

So if you have an experience with a host you'd like to share, go for it!

:agree:

Thank you guys I think the best way to do this is trying to make it the most legal and fair maybe asking a moderator before posting so there might be a proof is not only bitter words.

The terms you express I agree totally ,everyone should be able to say anything of a host good or bad and it is what you can call REVIEW

Sure, just keep it informative and productive (try not to get the emotions get the better of you). There are tons of people searching the internet for both positive and negative reviews on companies. Also, make sure you verify your info with the admins (otherwise your post might just come across as slander).

Thats one of the reasons, forums such as this one are online. You can get help and advice from other customers as well as hosts.

Typically people only post their negative experiences no matter if it is customer or host fault. As one poster said that can backfire on both parties at times, seen lots of that over the years.

I agree with what Steve-Hostirian said good experiences need to be shared with everybody so search for review before u buy hosting

Hello,
When you are having your first shot in the internet businesses and still have a tight budget, you might end up choosing to buy shared hosting. One of the major problems new netrepreneurs (internet entrepreneurs) experience is not being able to send a lot of emails. To be honest, shared hosting is really not designed for you to be able to send 1,000 emails at once. But, there is always a way behind this.

Thanks

No matter what the experiences are good or not, each is worthy of being shared with other web masters. The views you provided on some hosting providers may help some people to make a better choice .

Web hosting forums like HD and WHT are doing a great work in stopping these kind of hosts.
I think we can stop the menace if everyone starts publishing true reviews: good as well as bad.
