Hi all. I am a small businessman with a very low budget.
I want to know is it possible to promote products online in a way that doesn’t cost me much and lots of people get informed also?

I guess you could. You can advertise in various ways online depending on what products you sell. You could promote it through ads banners, etc either through purchasing ads placement directly from the website owner or through companies like Google or Yahoo.

There are directories that list you for free, or in exchange for a link back. You may have to pass their minimum website quality tests.

The Bigger your budget the better chance of getting a bigger return however a businessman should be prepared to take risks.

You can advertise in forums and e-Classifieds but don't expect or rely on a great outcome out of it.

timcrowe, another technique, in addition to those mentioned above, is try organizing some sort of a giveaway or a contest - it usually results in some conversions and traffic to your site.

Best,

Hey buddy. You haven’t mentioned what kind of business you do. Anyway, no matter what you do, you can easily promote your products & services online.

Have you heard of video marketing on websites? If you haven’t, let me explain you…

There are sites like YouTube and LeadsbyVideo in which you can upload your video files for free viewing/sharing. But there's a difference between these two sites. YouTube is mainly for pure entertainment whereas LeadsbyVideo is dedicated exclusively to serious internet marketers.

So if you want some direct marketing and want to promote your products on the internet, choose a site like LeadsbyVideo. You make your product videos short and crisp, explain features and benefits, and then upload them on this site. A large number of people on the internet can then watch your videos.

And if you are lucky, people will refer your video to others, and then, there's no lookin back!

I think this is a biassed reply for this thread. I think this can be considered as spamming.
LeadsbyVideo owner has come here and posted this thread.
For this thread:
There are number of ways for promoting your site(or your business). The main thing you need at the start of any work is dedication, hard work and patience. Being a beginner you may lack some of these but try to be patient everytime.
If you are a Host reseller, I can assist you in any way at any time.

First be a bit more descriptive.here are some tips.
1) Writing and marketing your own products:A good writer can produce ebooks on various targeted material derived from keyword searches. Find out what people are searching for most and write about it.

2)Marketing via a Reseller's Rights Package:If you're not good at writing, you might consider selling other people's products. There are numerous ebooks that come with reseller's rights, some give it to when you purchase the ebook, others require and additional fee for the right to sell it. Once you have the reseller's rights, you can market these products and keep 100% of the profits.

3. Promoting Affiliate Program Products:Affiliate Programs like ClickBank let you promote thousands of products as their affiliate. Most ClickBank affiliate commissions range from 35% to 70%. Many of the products are based on Internet marketing, but there are plenty of non-marketing products to make it worth while to join for free.

4)Using Google AdSense:Google AdSense, like ClickBliss, allows you to place a "tower" of ads on all of your web pages. Income is derived from your visitors clicking on the ads. Advertisers pay a certain amount per click to advertise with AdSense, and so you get a percentage of the revenue from each click received from your webpages.

5)Selling on EBay:From selling items you get from yard sales to being a drop shipping agent for corporate wholesalers, EBay give you many ways to generate an income. They charge a nominal fee to become an EBay Merchant, but it's well worth what you can earn through this outlet.

It really depends on how small the budget is, online advertising is pretty cheap compared to offline advertising, you can advertise on Google Adwords for example with $50/month, there are also other ways such as banner ads and text links, plus directory submissions and posting on web hosting related forums which has sections for ads.

The question is, do you have an edge? if your offering the same exact services like others, your gonna have a hard time competing with all of those hosts out there. My suggestion is, find your self an edge, either by coming up with a new service, a new addition to what is currently being offered, or by identified a new market vertical that hasnt been tapped yet.

My 2 cents :)

The barrier to entry is indeed lower, but getting a ROI can be quite tricky nevertheless. $50 may very well result in 0 sales.

You can also use business friendly social networking sites to promote your business, But don't ever spam, just do it the professional way using the tools given by those sites.
