I am a student and i am here to learn sumthin about Web design and web tools to create my own website and to make it popular
I know sumwhat about flash and adobe photoshop...and dreamwaver.. can anyone help me a bit ..:):smash:
 
tecktalk: I would love to be able to help you out a bit, but we first need to know exactly what you are going to need some assistance with.

Based on what you have said, I am going to assume that you are entirely new with web site creation, but besides that...I would really have to know more on what you are going for.

You seem to have experience with Dreamweaver, which can be a great web design tool, if you have taken the time to learn how to use it and all.

Once you say more, i'll try to help ya where I can!

Hmm.. i need a cheap hosting service and a domain name . I am learning PHP via net and I want to learn it practically..
 
I would recommend you find a very secure, stable environment for you to practice on. I could recommend one but my post would get removed ;)

Practical learning with a test site sounds like a good idea. Another thing I know a few people have done is taken someone else's site and try to edit it, it's an interesting way to start instead of from scratch. I'm also a giant fan of Firebug!

As for cheap hosting and domains I think the cheapest domains I've seen are $5.95 right now (http://www.netfirms.com/domain-names/), or most hosts will give you the option of a free subdomain (ie tecktalk.holeinthewallhosting.com).
