Bushy Canadian hats

Watching the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, I see that the Canucks are donning some new bushy hats. I wonder if they will take off as well as the Roots hats did back in the Olympics in Japan. (These new ones sure look warm :winter: ).

BTW, what's with some of the media coverage referring to "Turin"?? It's Torino!!! Please don't anglisize our Italian city names!! :(

So how many of you will be watching the Olympics every day? I find myself just having it on all day in the background even while I'm working.

I used to be a big fan of the olympics.
Over the years the commercialism and the lifting of the "amateur status" regulations have made me lose interest.

There are always too many judging anamolies as well.

Y'know, I think you'd look quite good in one of those new Canuck hats, blue. :winter:

In all modesty, it would be hard to imagine me not looking good in any hat Vito.

Seriously though, I haven't seen the bushy hats yet.

Olympics? What? Where? I had no idea...

I spend too much time in front of the computer screen. I must buy a TV tuner. :)

Haha, that was funny!!

Our Canadian skiier Jennifer Heil from Alberta just won Gold in Women's Mogul competition. So at the end, they has the 3 winners stepping up onto their podiums to get flowers. So the announcer announced the bronze, then the silver, and then...

...he said "...and now with Gold, from the United States Of America..." :uhh: :uhh: :uhh:

You shoulda seen her face when he said that...and the moans and groans from the crowd!

I'm stunned by the amount of injuries taking place in the luge events. There is a lot of talk about how the track is too dangerous and simply isn't ready for the events, yet they still went forward. As a result, so many athletes are wiping out. When you see them on tape, it hurts just to watch them. Speed + ice = lots of pain when you crash.

OK, Mister, that's it. Go to your room, recite the Canadian Anthem until I tell you to stop, and don't come out until you've learned your geography lesson! :smash:
