Bounce Rates

The concept of bounce rate is the same for every company. A low bounce rate is very good, it means that the users spend a lot of time on your website and the information in your website is useful for them. If there is a medium bounce rate, then it is important to work on making it low and if there is a high bounce rate that means you are in danger as the users do not wait on your website for a long time. In case of a high bounce rate, it is important to investigate in the website functions immediately in order to find out the reasons behind the high bounce rate.

There is no specific figure but if you have low bounce rate, it is good. If you have high bounce rate that means visitors are coming to your website and leaving your website without navigating other pages on your website.

Bounce rate obviously should go with SEO. It may depend on the hosting server in terms of their uptime guarantee, but it is totally for SEO. It should be comparatively low for a good ranking in search engines.

It depends on a number of variables. For instance, what is your source / medium? Organic? CPC? You should form your expectations accordingly. I would say under 45% is a good bounce rate for organic. The bounce rate for the type of hosting you're tracking will vary some as well (cloud vs dedicated).

To make bounce rate lower your website content should be rich, interesting and useful for your visitors. It is a huge work on website optimisation and we perform it daily to provide the best service to our clients.

Bounce rate should be as low as possible. Normally 40% is said good, else more than 40 percent bounce rate is said medium and more than 0 percent is said high.

Very Good: 10-25%
Good: 25-45% (Expected)
High: 45-60%
Very High: 60%+

These are relevant numbers for hosting/e-commerce. Aim for 30% or under across the board. :)

Well said. Ecommerce tend to have higher bounce rates and any paid ads I've used in the past are high as well.

Bounce rate is the percentage of people who arrive on your site and leave without visiting a second page. More importantly, Bounce Rate was designed to tell you if you have the right audience coming to your pages and if you are meeting their expectations.
