OK guys, my blog isn't doing so hot anymore and it is bugging me. I could use some ideas on how to improve it.

Instead of hiring article writers which is costing me I think I should invite people to write for me and let them use their google adsense codes. I still make $ off ads and they get revenue off their articles. Just one idea of mine.

Anyways, helpful ideas are appreciated. Really need some help here.
 
It is a catch 22, you want to make money so you have ads, but if you have too many ads, your blog looks junky and people dont keep coming back.
Keep the content ONLY what YOU would read and think is cool, if you do not like the articles... can you expect others to?
Every once in a while mention is your news letter that you are ad driven, suggest that when they leave your site they do it by clicking on an ad. (google does not like this) so make sure you wrod it like done with your visit? visit one of our many sponsors! as long as you do not tell people to "click on the ads".
 
Well, I love the articles on the blog...My writers are awesome but they all have a life and its hard for them to find time to write. Happens every time. Also, clicking on ads thing I do that sometimes. I ask my followers to visit a sponsor from time to time.
 
I saw that the blog is about gaming. You should follow the news about the gaming industry, to review games, to ask people about their opinion about any particular game, etc. You just need more buzz and posts that people who do online gaming would like to read.

Google adsense won't look good IMO. You should perhaps invite bloggers from gaming community to contribute to your blog.
 
Thanks guys. I've been looking into a new design so will hopefully have one up soon. The hardest part is getting fresh content. I am busy with school, work, and my other project that time is an issue. I think the best I can do is try to offer better deal to my writers.
 
Best design I could find. Also, I know the logo will have to be redone as it is a bit hard to see but I wasn't able to talk to my friend about making a new one yet.

Your new template looks pretty nice and the idea of letting other writers post their articles on your site for the Google AdSense codes seems like a good idea but two more solutions used by many bloggers can be offering guest blogging, which would entitle the authors for their author links and also installing the top commentators script on your blog which can truly help increase the post counts fast.

You can find many interested people who would be ready to publish their original contents on your site if you offer them some author links. Guest blogging done this way can truly increase the post counts and also will keep the writers very happy. The top commentators list can also offer free site-wide links, blogrolls, to the top posters and will help adding comments to your posts if you like the idea.
 
This new design of your site is looking good. The idea to invite people to write to your blog will bring for sure fresh content to your site and will spare you some time for your other activities.
 
Why not publish a few articles on article directories about your blog and saying that it is open for authors interested?
 
A blog can be written on any topic. The most important aspect is the authoritativeness of the information and how it creates value for the people.
 
As an alternative, you may also try selling your website when its hot so as to get a good price. But make sure you get a handsome amount that you would equal atleast the amount you would earn in a year through ads on your site.
 
The gaming industry is huge and there is always something to talk about, do not narrow yourself down into one dinky corner. Writing takes time and sometimes people have more time than others. Freelancers are okay but if you expect to have a full team behind you they need a way to be compensated too.
