Beetle Bailey teaches Esperanto

I would like to use the cartoon character Beetle Bailey for my learn Esperanto web I am building but I am uncertain about copyright laws. Can I legally do this.

Check it out. Not much at the moment but I'm working with it.

This has been in the planning stage for quite some time now. While planning it I showed off other small web sites I made that never lasted long. That was simply so that I could experiment with HTML and so on. This is what I've been planning all along.
 
Im not sure to be totally honest gooooogle, maybe you should do a searching around to find out first just incase you cant and you end up spending a lot of time putting him in your site just to have to redo it.
