Barak Hosting

I don't have experience with this company. They do however tend to spam a lot of forums. I would stay away.

I've never heard of them before. Be very careful when choosing a hosting provider. Anyone & I mean anyone can start a hosting company nowadays, even with little or no knowledge of the industry. There's no age restrictions either.

There are some hosting companies operated by 13-15 year olds.

Who's going to help you mid-day when you have a problem & they're in school?

Be careful & do your research. Your business will be in their hands.

I would say do your research on any company you choose. Even if they are big, I mean knowing things like support rating and customer service satisfaction is always a good thing to know about. Also if the company has a forum take a peak to see what kind of activity they have. Obviously if they have a lot of clients who have complaints then I would say away. But do not confuse complaints with requests. Some companies like to have their clients give requests for new additional products. But I will also say that some companies do not not have reviews out, but that is not bad either. I would ask questions, e-mail the company you are looking at to see what they have to say. Response times are also a big deal these days.

What ever you choose, make sure that you are comfortable with that decision. Remember you are a client, so make sure your needs are somewhat met. Some companies will meet them and some won't. But look at the reason if they don't offer it. For instance, maybe you want SSH access, and you also want a shared account. This may cause an issue with that company. But let them explain the reasoning. Some may also offer an alternative.

Has it really got to the stage where a "host" thats existed for a year is considered "old" or "established" - Wow !

The only time i've ever heard Barak mentioned anywhere is by 1-post members on a dozen forums which just stinks of spamming.

In part why I decided to keep this thread public instead of deleting it. I would like to make sure that the next person to search for "Barak Hosting", "BarakHosting.com" or http://www.barakhosting.com will see the word "spammers" next to it.

I know its Evil, but otherwise no one will ever find out. :devil:

Sometimes it just feel unfair to just remove threads. Name and shame them seems like a much more effective game (long term anyway).
