ATV Accident

Well I just got the ATV about 4 days ago and got in an accident already, not good. Was driving down a road, dirt road which was very bumpy and such, lot of dips and hills with puddles.

I was riding behind my friend Allan, when he slowed down, so I decided I should apply some breaks too.. too bad the bike did not agree with me..

It through me off the bike and I slid a few feet with Peter who was on back of the ATV sliding on top of me..

After the accident we looked at the bike, need a new spedometer, 2 new rims, new brake, new choke, fix the electrical problems and to fix the back rack because is is bent..

We looked at the tire tracks too.. the puddle was 20ft long or so, maybe a bit bigger, the tracks stop just a few feet before it, and the closest mark after that is 10ft after the puddle..

The bike barrel rolled over me, without hitting me, and rolled onto the side of the road, faced in the opposite direction we were driving..

Luckily, I only have a few cuts and my legs are a little sore, could have been ALOT worse..

So now.. what do I do? I need to come up with some money to pay for this, I don't have a job, so if anyone knows where I can get some cash to get this fixed, let me know.. I really need to come up with some money.
 
Glad to hear you are ok after the accident.

How much money are you needing for the repair?? Im gonna guess $500-1000 for parts then labor on top of that
 
Don't have an estimate yet, should have one by tomorrow, but it has to come outta my damn pocket, since it was my fault.. I need a job :P
 
Just got the estimate on the ATV, going to cost me at least $800 of my own money.. if not more, this is the minimum estimate.. I need to get a job or something to pay for this :S
 
That doesnt sound good at all....
Your very lucky that the accident didnt end up a lot worse though.
What speed were you going at when it happened?

I think you should try get a part time job in your local area if you are going to have to spend that much on repairs.
You can also use moeny from your hosting income for it so it shouldnt take too long to earn that as long as you can get a job also :)

Yeah I am very lucky.. I was not going that fast.. didn't happen to check but I know it wasnt too fast..

I wish I could but right now I am a bit tight since I just opened FastNetServers and had to invest in the office, support personnel and the worst just had to move from BurstNET to THE PLANET which is good but financial wise no...but Gordy I hope everything works out for you.
 
Np at all, it is the thought that counts :) I'm sure it will all work out fine.. wish I had the ATV today so I could plow my both driveways..
