Another Flaw in Microsoft Internet Explorer

Microsoft is warning about a flaw in its Internet Explorer that can make it possible for someone to do some unwanted exploring on your computer.

The company says there are a half dozen current flaws in the product -- some of which could wind up giving hackers access to personal information about your machine.

What's more, the flaws could even let a hacker change some of the information in "cookies" that are written to your computer's hard drive when you visit certain Internet sites.

The company calls the severity of some of the flaws "critical" -- and says the problems affect Internet Explorer versions 5.01, 5.5 and 6.0. The company has a patch available to plug the security holes -- it can be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site.

It's the fourth time this year that Microsoft has issued a fix for its Internet browser.
