American Idol

I have to admit, it's pretty infectious.

As I sit working at my computer, I hear my wife and daughter in the other room watching American Idol. So I feel compelled to watch it on my office TV while working.

Bo was awesome.

(...gimme the people to free my soul, I wanna get lost in your rock'n'roll and drift away...)

I don't watch it too much anymore, in fact I don't watch much TV, and if I do it's usually Cartoon Network for "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy"

That Grim Adventures just kills me. I don't mind sitting and watching cartoons with my 5 year old anymore since he introduced me to that show :)

I must admit, that I simply like watching and hearing Simon's remarks. They tend to mellow near the end of the competition though, since most of the horrid singers are gone.

A lot of folks don't like him, but I have respect for his blunt straight forwardness. It reminds me a lot of my own personality. So, I guess I'm a little biased lol.

I'm not interested so much in the competition, since the Clay and Reuben episode. I think it was quite unfortunate that the person the producers wanted to win, didn't win, so they fixed it by quickly phasing Reuben out, and not promoting him, while they shoved Clay in our faces (who, for those of you who don't know....did not win).

That by itself told me that the people were not in charge of deciding, who is the next "star." Which of course is the intent of the show.

I like Simon too, truth hurts. Why sugar coat it? No one will learn that way.

And I didn't know that Clay DIDN'T win, I guess I never really thought about it much, like I said - I don't watch it anymore. At any rate I never really liked his singing anyways.

I thought Bo was good too, but I liked a few of the other guys too.
Errrr...then I missed it tonight when the gals sang but did get to see the recap of them. Its a different format this year, not sure Im gonna like them split up like that, but we'll see. Between The Bachelorette on Monday and The LOST on Wed. and now American Idol in between the other 2 (errrrrrrr!!!!!!!!)

My thoughts exactly :)

I totally agree with you. How will you ever improve if everyone says "Good Job"?
