I went for an eyetest today, I need glasses :(
Really dont want to get glasses but I dont have to wear them all the time, only if Im doing something like watching TV, cinema just looking at things far away but I dont need them when Im out.

I would rather have them full time and just get contact lenses.

I blame the computer

:smash:

So who is buying me a round?I will have one drink for every registered member here....

No point in me getting contact lenses really. Don't really use my glasses that much. I just hope that it won't make any difference when I sign up for the army. Norwegian special forces might not approve of me. But than again, if I pass the test they should have nothing to complain about.

Well, I don't use Glasses, but if I go to a Test they will Say... You have to wear Glasses too much time on the Computer... blah blah blah... So I don't go :D

Cheers,

BTW; I preffer using Normal Glasses than Contacts so if I get drunk I won't have to deal with my Eye on the Morning :beathim:

Haha Francisco, that would be my problem, I am irish after all :D

I cant get contact lenses because the glasses are only for reading etc. and I wouldnt wear them most of the time, including when I go out.
You would only use contacts if they were full time, only know that because I asked today if I could do that instead.

I always thought I had very good eyesight until not long ago when I noticed I was having a bit of a problem, wishing I didnt go now ;) hehe

Can being on the computer do that to you?

Anyway, I dont wear glasses (luckily), yet anyway

Yeah the computer would be a major cause for that GC, hope it hasnt got anything to do with me having to or else I will be throwing it out the window (again ;))

And to think I spend most of my life in front of a compuiter screen. That's worrying.

No difference with different monitors, IE LCD Panels?

Im not sure to be honest, I think the old screens are a lot worse for your eyes than the newer ones.
I know at the start when monitors came out there was a lot of hype about it being bad for your health but Im sure its improved over time, so I would say LCD, TFT would be better for eyesight.

I have one of the flat screen monitors but I use the older ones some times when Im working also

I want a flat screen one, but they're very expensive, cant go to a high resolution and look really bad when using lower resolutions.
