What is the key behind spending money on Adwords wisely? It is common knowledge to say that it's easy to waste a fortune on Adwords without any results. Yes, it all depends on the target group, the site, the product etc, however, what keywords to choos (for a host in specific) and which tools to use to choose keywords. Is there a good ebook or articles to illustrate best strategies?

I agree with stealthdevil, I think you are better of trying it yourself.

I personally found that I cannot afford to be top bid for keywords such as "web hosting" (which is around $2), but "cheap asp hosting" is only $.05 per click and also gets me sign ups.

think about how many people are trying to sell space on the internet though. is google adwords going to really help anyone out? once they google "hosting" you might as well just give your sale to godaddy...

if it is not a secret, how much do you pay for PPC ads campaign? I was advised that about 2000$ per week will be a standard budget which I found to be rather big budget:)

Put it this way if you got a hell amount of money. you can try every single god damned ppc ads and maybe make money. or maybe you wont?. PPC ads is all about trial and error and most of us dont got the money to do trial and error

You may want to give 7search.com a look see. They're a lower tiered ppc and have much lower bid prices. Lots of .05 and less clicks available. You do trade off the volume that google can provide, but in the ppc game, that may prove to be an advantage.

I've seen on some seo blogs that many big players are workiing the smaller ppc networks into their marketing mix to exploit the smaller competition. May be something to check out.

I think you should go for adword geotargeting selecting 2 or 3 countries and specific language. Geotargeting is good way to reach close to your specific niche, IMO.

You can also go through SEO companies. Usually they get special rates for advertising so much on google, yahoo and so on. If you are willing to spend like, $2000 a week in adwords they can triple the traffic to your site for the same amount. Where you would end up spending $1 per click they will spend maybe half that for better results. I know of one SEO company in particular that is good but not sure if I am allowed to post it here or not.
