Advertising here on HD

I was wondering if anybody has had success advertising here on HD in the Offers section?

Always a great idea to get your latest deals up front in front of people. The marketplace is always free to advertise in.

In terms of posting in the advertising section, our account needs to have at least 15 posts. I am still on my way to reach that milestone so not sure at the moment how effective is sharing out services/products here at HD

I've had plenty of success advertising in the marketplace forum over the past 9 to 10 years.

Forums in general can be a good place to spread the word about your company and service.

What i'd be interested in hearing, is if you would have to be a paying advertiser with a sticky post to get the most benefit.

If you mail moderator of this forum I think that would be good enough for you. Because this type of advertising is mostly paid so if you conversation with forum admin that will be well an good.

In my honest opinion, you can do either well or bad with either a sticky or a free post. A lot depends on the deal, the presentation, the product itself. You can run a paid ad all you want, but if the message isn't tailored or if the offer is not aligned with the market demand, then you probably will not convert. On the other hand, if you have found what makes you better and capitalizing on that, come to the forum regularly, participate and post ads every single week (sticky helps you void that part, saving you time), then people will notice.

Before anything, you need to know why you are doing what you are doing and what you are good at, then you'll be able to capture the attention and find your customers.
